Outfits - Catania Day1

Technically I ought to show some autumn clothes like normal people, but since we are still in Catania virtually, there is no way of doing that.;) And fortunatelly we had a nice late summer weekend with 26 degrees here in Germany, so this blogpost doesn't seem too ridiculous and out of context. And in one way or another, summer is my favorite season. I just don't like wearing layers of clothes, cause they make me feel constricted and not as light and free when wearing sandals and shorts. And speaking of shorts, my favorite new fashion find is definitely the skort. In fact they are shorts, but look like a skirt from the front. Super practical, if you like the look of a skirt, but want to move normally without too much caution. By the way, here I am wearing one from Stradivarius and a Tshirt by Pull&Bear. Tim is wearing a David Bowie shirt from Asos (which my sister and I are super jealous of) and some shorts by H&M.

Outfits - Late Summer Evening (His & Her)

In late summer it could be more than 30 degrees at daytime, but can also be a little chilly at night. So you can already start to get used to wearing long clothes again. Even if you don't want to. I love to wear boyfriend jeans, because they are loosely fitted and you don't feel too "dressed". And if it gets warm anyhow, your pants don't get too clingy. Also the one-sleeve-trend is perfect for a late summer evening. Tim's favorite long trousers for the summer evenings became cargo pants and these dark beige coloured safari style ones couldn't be more summery.

When you travel at the end of summer, it may not be as busy and packed with tourist, so you can enjoy everything so much more and don't always have to wait an hour to get ,for example, an icecream. On the other hand, you don't have parties or festivals each day. But we don't have the energy to party every night anyways.;) But even if you just go to a restaurant or just walk around aimlessly and just get a Crêpe, it is always fun to dress up every evening while on holidays.

Wenn man am Ende des Sommers verreist, sind die Städte nicht mehr so vollgestopft mit Touristen, so dass man nicht mehr eine Stunde für ein Eis anstehen muss. Andererseits gibt es auch nicht mehr jeden Tag Veranstaltungen, so dass man sich manchmal mit einem Restaurantbesuch zufrieden geben muss. Trotzdem gehört es für mich im Urlaub einfach dazu, mich jeden Abend aufzubrezeln, auch wenn man wie wir an dem Abend einfach nur zum Crêpestand geht und dann am Strand ein paar Fotos macht.

Last Evening in Florence - Outfits

It is always the same, when I just travel with handluggage, I don't have enough clothes. Or at least it seems to me that way. Even though I brought two outfits for one day, I want to wear something different. Like when you're at home and you have nothing to wear, but your wardrobe is jam-packed. Maybe it is colder or warmer at your travel destination or you want to wear something more or less posh. You are never satisfied. Unless you have bought something during your holidays. Then you want to wear these new pieces. 

I think we didn't go shopping in Florence, but previously in Rome, I found that blouse I am wearing in these pics. Thats also why it's a bit creased.:) And the best location for a short outfit shooting is of course the "showcase" square Piazza della Signoria.

Irgendwie ist es doch immer so wenn man nur mit Handgepäck reist, man hat nie genug zum Anziehen. Auch wenn man für jeden Tag fast zwei Outfits dabei hat, es kommt doch so, dass man mit diesen Klamotten dann nicht zufrieden ist, weil es zu kalt oder warm am Reiseort ist, man gerne etwas Schickeres oder Schlichteres anziehen möchte oder sonst ein bizarrer Grund. In Florenz habe ich nicht allzu viel geshoppt, aber zum Glück hatte ich bereits in Rom im Sommersale diese Bluse gekauft, weshalb sie auch ein wenig zerknittert auf den Fotos aussieht. Und als perfekte Location für ein kurzes Outfitshooting war natürlich Florenz' Paradeplatz, die Piazza della Signoria.

Fashion Wishlist Spring

As I said in a previous blogpost, I overall loved last years fashion trends, which were extremly feminine with ruffles, off-the-shoulder-tops and sheer, light fabrics with embroidery. Fortunatelly fashion doesn't change over night, so I still love most of this years fashion, even though everything isn't as over the top as it has been and designed in a more simple way. Super on-trend are for example the materials linen and wicker/straw, which remind me of Wild West farmclothes, but in an ugly way. Nevertheless still present are the diverse check prints, polka dots, pastellcolours und broderie anglaise, of which you can find plenty of items in the shops.

Die Mode des letzten Jahres war genau nach meinem Geschmack: extrem feminin mit Volants, Off-the-shoulder und leichten, transparenten Stoffen inklusive Stickereien und Applikationen. Natürlich ändert sich die Mode nicht Schlag auf Schlag und deshalb gefallen mir die meisten Sachen auch dieses Jahr, wobei alles ein wenig schlichter designt ist und nicht mehr so kitschig, wie ich es normalerweise liebe. Wovon ich diese Saison überhaupt kein Fan bin, ist das neue In-Material des Sommers, Leinen, genauso wenig wie von Accessoires aus Bast und Stroh, denn alles erinnert mich ein bißchen zu sehr an Wild-West Farm.  Dennoch ist der allgemeine Style von letztem Jahr noch präsent und Karoprints, Rüschen, Polkadots, Broderie Anglaise und Pastelltöne sind zum Glück immer noch zu finden.

Rome Day 2 - Tivoli Outfits

Since we visited Rome a lot of times, we wanted to get away from the city center and discover something new. So I went on my favorite travel website Tripadvisor and searched for some sights nearby and discovered this huge archaeological site of Villa Adriana. Luckily the climate in Rome is great and even one time, some years ago, when we went there in November, it was too hot to wear a jacket.:) So I was able to wear a dress I found at New Yorker month before that trip, which reminded me of Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz. Gingham print was super trendy last year and still is this year, but no matter what, I love that print, especially when it comes in pastel colours.

Da wir während unserer früheren Besuche ja bereits ganz Rom abgegrast haben, wollten wir uns dieses Mal ein wenig vom Stadtern entfernen und bei Tripadvisor, habe ich dann die riesige archäologische Ausgrabung der Villa Adriana gefunden, die mich dann auch magisch angezogen hat. In Rom herrscht ja stets ein angenehmes Klima und so konnte ich mich richtig sommerlich anziehen. Das Kleid habe ich Monate zuvor bei New Yorker gefunden und es hat mich irgendwie total an Dorothy Gale in der Zauberer von Oz erinnert. Ich liebe sowieso den Vichy-Print und am liebsten in Pastelltönen.

All roads lead to Rome - Outfits His & Her

Since my 18th birthday I travel somewhere on my great day and as always we were a bit late on booking our flight, so we once again had to use our emerency solution, Blindbooking. And where did they take us again? To Rome, our second home, as we call it now. I also noticed, that I probably know the city better than my hometown due to our several-hour-long walks. So today I start my traveldiary with our outfits from our first full day. If you look out of the window, they may seem out of place, but who doesn't like summery, warm thoughts. 

Leopardprint is one of my favorites and will probably be in fashion forever. I also liked it, because it incorporates to keytrends, shouldercutouts and ruffles. Unexpectedly I found it at C&A, a shop I rarely visit, but I occasionally find nice pieces there. I like to buy jeans there for example,because they always fit perfectly and some are made of high-quality denim.

Who also offer nice quality trousers, regarding the cut and fit, at least in the mens department, are Primark. My boyfriend buys 1 or 2 pairs during each visit. He also wore them in these pics, a Tshirt by Tkmaxx and Sandals by Asos.

Seit meinem 18. Geburtstag mache ich ja bereits einen Städtetrip zu diesem Anlass und wie immer waren wir mit dem Buchen wieder so spät dran, dass uns mal wieder "nur" unsere allseits bekannte "Notlösung" blieb, das Blindbooking. Und wo schickte uns Germanwings mal wieder hin? Rom, unser 2. Zuhause, wie wir es mittlerweile bezeichnen. ir ist sogar aufgefallen, dass ich mich dort durch das stundenlange Herumschlendern wahrscheinlich schon besser auskenne als in meiner Heimatstadt. Heute geht's dann also los mit unseren Outfits des ersten Tages. Ein bißchen unpassend, wenn man im Moment aus dem Fenster schaut, aber so kommt man wenigstens auf sommerliche, warme Gedanken. 

Leoprint ist einer meiner Lieblingsprints und wird wahrscheinlich immer In sein. Ich fand es auch super ansprechend mit den Schultercutouts und Minivolants, da es alle derzeitigen Trends integriert.   Dieses Kleid habe ich durch Zufall bei C&A entdeckt. Ein Geschäft in das ich nur selten einen Abstecher mache, aber ab und zu finde ich dort auch tolle Teile. Jeans kaufe ich dort z.B. super gerne, da sie mir perfekt passen und vom Jeansstoff auch relativ hochwertig sind.

Wer auch eine gute Auswahl an Hosen in Bezug auf Schnitt und Qualität hat, ist, unglaublich aber wahr, Primark, jedenfalls in der Herrenabteilung. Meine Freund holt sich dort bestimmt bei jedem Besuch 1-2 Paar. Hier trägt er z.B. auch ein Paar von dort, ein Tshirt von Tkmaxx und Römersandalen von Asos.

Online Shop Fashion Favorites

Even though summer is my favorite time of the year, the christmas time comes in second. As soon as November starts and it gets really cold outside, I can't wait for the christmas markets to open and the cities to be decorated festively. Then I would also love to adorn myself with sequins and pearls every day, because fashion really affects my mood and I can get into the festive spirit more easily with festive clothes.

In my last 'Favorites Post' I was absolutely disappointed by the items I saw in the shops,but now with the party wear pieces, I am pleased again.

Warsaw - Outfit Day 2

Day two of our Warsaw adventures. I was already complaining in a previous post, that it is extremely difficult to do a citytrip in winter only with hand luggage. Maybe it isn't a problem for most people, but if you want to take outfitpics everyday, like I do, then you need different coats or jackets. And they of course take up a lot of space. First-world-problems I think right now.:)
So there you have start with layering and on your flights putting on your heaviest und most voluminous clothes. Fortunatelly I took my hoodie jacket with me, because it was raining from time to time. And we definitely underestimated the polish weather, because even though we are used to (kind of;) the cold, german weather, the wind there was icy. So I even had to buy another thin cardigan there for layering.

Autumn Wishlist

I was so in love with last months fashion, because it was right up my alley. The extreme femininity and romanticity with ruffles, embroidery and lace as well as the playful details like knots, statementsleeves and off-the-shoulder. Of course I hoped that this whole theme would be continued, because it rarely happens, that fashion changes completely with the next saison.Normally just some new trends will be added and then it changes over time. So I hoped for beautiful new pieces and checked out the new collections at the stores. And I was shocked and of course really disappointed. It seemed as if I traveled one year back in time or as if they put all the clothes they didn't sell last year into a warehouse and now put them into the stores again. Almost a 180 degree turn from happy and playful clothes back again to 90s fashion with sportswear and grunge a la Curt Cobain in dark and earthy colours. In some stores I almost felt like walking into his closet. But after browsing through the online shops for some time, I actually found some pieces I like. 

Summer Sales Haul Pt. 2 -Primark & Tk Maxx

Today I continue with clothes I shopped at Primark and Tk Maxx, as the title suggests.

In these stores I didn't find as much as I normally do. But maybe it's also because of my intention not to buy random stuff and be fouled by the red stickers. Because I already have enough stuff, I want to shop more consciously and just buy items that I don't own. Like the camel coloured trousers. I normally just wear jeans and just have a few (black) cloth pants. Or the ripped boyfriend jeans. I was looking for such a pair for a while now and now I finally found one.

Und weiter gehts heute mit Primark und Tk Maxx, wie die Überschrift schon erahnen lässt. ;)

In den beiden Läden habe ich dieses Mal weniger gefunden, als es üblicherweise der Fall ist. Ich habe mir auch vorgenommen nicht mehr fast wahllos bei Primarkschnäppchen zuzugreifen. Egal wie verlockend der rote Aufkleber ist. Aber da mein Kleiderschrank sowieso am überquellen ist, möchte ich viel überlegter einkaufen und nur Klamotten mitnehmen, die bei mir noch nicht vorhanden sind. Wie z.B. die camelfarbene Hose, denn ich trage ja normalerweise nur Jeans. Ebenso die Boyfriendjeans von Tk Maxx. Ich bin schon ewig auf der Suche nach so einer Hose, die dann vor allem auch noch sitzt und dieses Mal bin ich fündig geworden.

Summer Sales Haul Pt. 1 - Bershka & H&M

Like I said before, the fashion at the moment is right up my alley and I already knew, that I would shop a lot at this years summer sales. In comparison to last years minimalistic 90s fashion, this year it has totally changed and in my opinion for the better. I just love these super feminine trends like ruffles, off-the-shoulder, lace and flower prints and also the playful details like trumpet sleeves, knots and cords. And it was also the first time, that I almost only shopped online, because in the normal shops the sale had a slow start and online some pieces were even cheaper. So today I have the first part of my sales haul series with pieces from Bershka and H&M, before I put them into the wash and pack them for my next trip to Italy, which will already be in a few days.

Die Mode im Moment ist so nach meinem Geschmack, dass ich schon wußte, dass ich im Sale zuschlagen werden würde. Im Vergleich zu letztem Jahr, als noch der minimale 90s Style in war, den ich nicht wirklich mochte, hat sich die Mode komplett ins Gegenteil und damit für meinen Geschmack zum Besseren verändert. Ich liebe die femininen Trends, wie Rüschen, Off-the-shoulder und Spitze ebenso wie die verspielten Details wie Ballonärmel, Knoten und Schnürungen.
Es war auch das erste Mal, dass ich hauptsächlich online geshoppt habe, denn in den Geschäften lief mir der Sale viel zu schleppend an und in den Onlineshops waren die Klamotten außerdem günstiger bzw. überhaupt vorhanden. Heute gibt es also Teil 1 mit Sachen von Bershka und H&M, bevor ich sie für meinen kommenden Trip nach Italien ( wohin auch sonst?!) einpacke. Denn der steht schon in ein paar Tagen an.

Naples Day 4 - Outfits [His & Hers]

We started our 4th day in Naples with a visit at the Villa Pignatelli. The villa from the 19th century with its beautiful garden offers the perfect location for some pics. Note to myself: the next time get rid of all the photo equipment before taking outfit pics.:)

Favorites from the online shops #2

The current fashion is right up my alley. If I was a millionar, I would almost buy everything.

I love these ultra feminine pieces with playful accents like ruffles, tulle and lace in pink, yellow and pastel colours. And then there are also these edgy pieces like band-tees with cutouts or destroyed denim. I collected some of my favorite items from last month in my April folder on Pinterest,, which you can find here. And I also created a list on Amazon,with some things I found there.

Die Mode die es zur Zeit in den Läden gibt ist genau nach meinem Geschmack. Entweder super feminin mit Volants, Tüll und Spitze, in Pink, Gelb oder Pastelltönen oder teilweise auch rockig z.B. als Bandtshirt mit Cutouts oder als destroyed denim. Leider bin ich keine Millionärin, sonst würde ich die Läden leerkaufen. Hier also einiger meiner Lieblingsteile aus den Onlineshops aus de vergangenen Monat. Outfit - Venice Day 4

If you imagine your outfits just in your head, most of the time they look different in reality. Often the proportions don't match in the way you thought they would. And this was my problem in Venice (next to the crinkle-prob the day before:). So I quickly bought a dress in a random venician boutique to avoid the outfit combination issue. Fortunatelly tthe weather remained good till the evening, when we travelled back home.

Wenn man sich Outfits im Kopf vorstellt, sehen sie in der Realität dann doch ziemlich anders aus. Oft passen dann die Proportionen nicht so zusammen, wie man es sich erdacht hatte. Das war dann auch mein Problem in Venedig (zusätzlich zu meinem "Knitterproblem").Also habe ich mir schnell noch ein Kleid in einer kleinen venezianischen Boutique gekauft, weil ich schon am Tag zuvor mit meiner Outfitzusammenstellung überfordert war. Zum Glück war auch relativ gutes Wetter, welches sich erst am Ende des Tages in ein Unwetter verwandelt hat.
