Casual Outfits at Galleria Umberto I

When I started my blog, I wanted it to be in equal parts about travel, fashion and beauty. Then I stopped writing about beauty here and instead did it on another, new blog. Then Instagram appeared and the smartphone cams became better, so I just posted my outfit photos over there. Except for my outfits I wore during my trips, since I always had/ have my Nikon Camera at hand. So here some casual outfits we wore during an easy day strolling through Naples and our first stop at Galeria Umberto I, which is similar to the more famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.

So let's start Day 3 with our Outfits of the Day on our way to our next destination.

Paris Day 2 - Montmartre Outfits

I have to admit, Tim's outfit definitely won Best Outfit of the Day. I love his tshirt and would also want to own it. And combined with that burgundy trousers and blue shoes, which revive the colours from the shirt's print. Awesome! You see, I've told him a lot about fashion.;) I just wonder, why I chose such a simple outfit for myself. At the moment I have at least 15 new dresses and blouses hanging in my closet and waiting for my next travel, even if we don't know, when it will be possible again. Note to my future-self - we are in the middle or probably just in the beginning of the Corona Virus Crisis and don't know, when we can travel again without any worries.
So on day 2, a sunny day in May, we walked from our hotel, which was in the heart of Montmartre, to Sacre Coeur and even though I visited Paris several times before, I have never seen the inside of that famous church.

Paris - Outfit Day 1 - Parisian Chic

Travelling and sightseeing vs. instagrammable outfits. Always a struggle. And I have told you many times before, the shoes are always the main problem, because when you walk for hours, there is no way you can wear high heels, which of course would make an outfit look instantly better (perfect). So if you see a blogger's outfitpics with high heels, who is on a citytrip, then she is just pretending to do sightseeing and 100% fake.(Or walks around with a bag of shoes in it to change). Because the high heels with which you can walk several kilometers still have to be invented. So always wear (white) sneakers or flat boots in neutral colours, because you can combine them easily with my traveloutfit-tip number 1: dresses! You don't have to think about combinations in the morning or have to change a hundred times to feel good (unless you have already styled your outfits at home and test-wore them (tip number2). But the easiest way is, to just put a dress on, your accessories and jewelry and that's it. And of course a backpack with a jacket and/or a warm knitpiece inside for the evening.

By the way, here we are on the terrace of the Musée d´Orsay with a view on the Seine, the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries.

Vienna - Day 3 - His & Her Outfit

Castle Schönbrunn is probably on every tourist's list while visiting Vienna and on mine it was right on top and strongly underlined, because you know, I'm a great lover of the baroque period. So this was our destination on day three and we unintenionally wore matching pink outfits. And I again chose my failsafe-traveloutfit (in spring and autumn) consisting of jeans, a tshirt and boots, which are the easiest to combine and to spice up with some accessories.

Vienna Outfit No.2 - My little Pony

There are days, when even I don't care much about some outfitpics. This is, of course, when I don't feel that amazing, like on that day, when we partied too much the other night. You just want to function and get done as much sightseeing as possible, even though you are super hungover. But often just the beginning of the day is hard and after eating, drinking coffee and walking around and getting distracted, you feel better and better by the minute. So I managed to do some quick snaps from my jeans-tshirt-leatherjacket-sightseeinguniform. But since then I got wiser, because you always have to have a pair of sunglasses with you, so you can hide your tired eyes behind them.

Vienna - Outfits Day1

I'm such a Jeans-and-Tshirt-Girl, I always notice. Sounds super boring, but the clothes have to have something special, like this shirt from Stradivarius, which is a hybrid of a shirt and a wraptop. Since we do a lot of sightseeing and walk around for hours, they have to be comfortable and also versatile. And of course, I always wear flats. Also loving Tims Outfit, because the colours are super matching. I think, I now have to force him to just wear button-down shirts.

Palermo Day 3 Outfits - Patch Work

Right between the Cathedral and the Norman Palace, which will be the topic of my next post, is a beautiful palm garden, called Villa Bonanno. When we tried to visit the Norman Palace the day before, which was closed early, we have already crossed that park and have taken some outfit pics there as well. I would definitely call this park one of Palermos "instagrammable places", a description I recently come across more and more often. (Because Instagram rules the world. Apparently.) But who doesn't like palms?! Nothing looks more tropical and you immediatelly think of holidays. But to talk about our outfits - this day we strangely enough didn't wear matching outfits (which happens unintentionally anyway;), but one thing we still had in common - the patches. I saw this shirt month ago in a Pull& Bear store and adored it, because of that lovely glitter patch, but it was too expensive for my taste. But I was lucky and got it in the sales. I combined it with a white, distressed jeans skirt (from Zuiki, an italian brand with stores just in Italy), because you know, jeans are always a good idea. Tim also played it safe, with his grey shirt and black shorts.:)

His and Her Day & Night Outfits

After our daytrip to Palermo, we then returned to Cefalu for another day, because we wanted to have another beachday. In the evening we went to a restaurant, which my parents recommended and afterwards just walked around and took some pics, since it was off-season and there was basically no nightlife.
On the evening outfitpics I'm wearing one of my favorite tops from H&M, which I love because of the balloonsleeves, which remind me of the dresses, they wore during the Renaissance. Also the print is quiet different to other flowerprints and almost looks like the company logo of a german dish soap company. I just realized, how usefull outfitphotos are, because it just reminded me, to wear that fake leather skirt more again, because it is so versatile.
The next day we went to Palermo for 2 other nights, because we had planned to see more of the city. this day I am wearing a blue and white striped blouse from Bershka and a skirt from Zara. I'm loving those little details, like the wrap around ties of the blouse, because they make pieces look much more interesting.
