Last Evening in Florence - Outfits

It is always the same, when I just travel with handluggage, I don't have enough clothes. Or at least it seems to me that way. Even though I brought two outfits for one day, I want to wear something different. Like when you're at home and you have nothing to wear, but your wardrobe is jam-packed. Maybe it is colder or warmer at your travel destination or you want to wear something more or less posh. You are never satisfied. Unless you have bought something during your holidays. Then you want to wear these new pieces. 

I think we didn't go shopping in Florence, but previously in Rome, I found that blouse I am wearing in these pics. Thats also why it's a bit creased.:) And the best location for a short outfit shooting is of course the "showcase" square Piazza della Signoria.

Irgendwie ist es doch immer so wenn man nur mit Handgepäck reist, man hat nie genug zum Anziehen. Auch wenn man für jeden Tag fast zwei Outfits dabei hat, es kommt doch so, dass man mit diesen Klamotten dann nicht zufrieden ist, weil es zu kalt oder warm am Reiseort ist, man gerne etwas Schickeres oder Schlichteres anziehen möchte oder sonst ein bizarrer Grund. In Florenz habe ich nicht allzu viel geshoppt, aber zum Glück hatte ich bereits in Rom im Sommersale diese Bluse gekauft, weshalb sie auch ein wenig zerknittert auf den Fotos aussieht. Und als perfekte Location für ein kurzes Outfitshooting war natürlich Florenz' Paradeplatz, die Piazza della Signoria.

Florence Day 2 - Meeting 'David'

What would a city trip to Florence be, without visiting the most famous statue of art history - Michelangelo's 'David'. He can be found at the Galleria dell'Accademia and not as you would expect, at the most popular museum of Florence, the Uffizi. And after we visited the relatively small museum, we felt a bit cheated, because you almost just pay 8 Euros for one (ok, one super amazing and famous) statue and you could easily incorporate the whole collection into another museum, because it's so small. But after I read about the museum ,that they moved the statue already in 1873 to the Galleria from its original place in front of the Palazzo Vecchio for its protection and also with the intention to create a whole Michelangelo museum, it made more sense to me. And why would you change that, if you can make some extra money, because everyone wants to see 'David'. And above all, the museum also has 6 other Michelangelo statues on display, unfortunatelly unfinished, which increases the value of the collection immeasurably.

Was wäre ein Florenzaufenthalt ohne einen Besuch bei der wohl berühmtesten Statue der Kunstgeschichte - Michelangelos 'David'. Diese befindet sich in der Galleria dell'Accademia und nicht wie man annehmen würde, im bekanntesten Museum von Florenz, den Uffizien. Und nachdem man das relativ kleine Museum dann besichtigt hat, fühlt man sich schon ein wenig übers Ohr gehauen, da man immerhin einen Eintrittspreis von 8 Euro zahlt und man die Exponate die sich dort befinden leicht in ein anderes Museum integrieren könnte. Wenn man dann aber nachliest, dass die Statue bereits 1873 von ihrem ursprünglichen Platz vor dem Palazzo della Signoria zu ihrem Schutz und mit der eigentlichen Intention ein komplettes Michelangelo-Museum zu schaffen, dorthin gebracht wurde, macht alles ein wenig mehr Sinn. Vor allem da sich in dem Museum noch 6 weitere unfertige Skulpturen von Michelangelo befinden, steigert dies den Wert der Ausstellung ins Unermessliche.
