Balmain Spring/Summer 2014

Zu Balmain fällt mir immer ein Wort ein: edgy. Eine Mischung aus übercool, aber dennoch tragbar und mit einem gewissen Twist.  Und obwohl dies eine Sommerkollektion ist, würde sie auch  perfekt in diese festive Zeit des Jahres passen. Das dachte ich mir ,als ich mir vor wenigen Tagen die Fotos ansah und bei der Kombination aus eisigen Pastelltönen und dem silbrigen Strass an eine Eisprinzessin dachte. Klingt sehr kitschig, wären da nicht noch die eher rockigen Outfits mit gestepptem Leder, Karo- und Hahnentrittmuster und Metallkettenbordüren. Und der von mir so geliebte Mix aus groben und leichten Materialien komplettiert durch glitzernde Cut-outs.

That's what I thought, when I saw the photos some days ago and with the combination of frosty pastel shades and silver strass, it reminded me of an ice princess. That sounds a little cheesy,I know, but there are also rocky outfits with quillted leather, differently checked patterns and metalchainborders. And my beloved combination of thick and light fabrics, which is completed by sparkly cut-outs.
