Christmas #1 - Spikie's Christmas Eve

Normalerweise ist es ja in den meisten Ländern Brauch, an Heiligabend Bescherung zu machen. Seit einigen Jahren ist es aber bei uns so, dass wir es auf den 1. oder noch eher auf den 2. Weihnachsttag verschieben, da wir es einfach nicht schaffen. Es wird gekocht, gebacken, Geschenke verpackt und dann gehts noch in die Mitternachtsmesse. Ein "Kind" haben wir aber seine Geschenke auspacken lassen. Spikie!
Zu seiner Enttäuschung war es aber nur Kleidung für ihn.:)

But in recent years our family does it at Christmas day or even one day later, because we really find no time. We cook, bake, wrap the gifts and then we go to the midnight mass. But one "child" we allowed to unwrap its gifts. Spikie!
To his disappointment he only got clothes.:)

Flashback Friday - Summer in the city #2

...und weiter gings dann zum Nachtreffpunkt Number 1 in Rom: dem Trevibrunnen. Man muss aber echt sagen, beleuchtet sieht er noch eindrucksvoller aus als am Tag. Nach ein wenig Posen, mussten wir noch einige Souvenirs shoppen und das machte uns so hungrig, dass wir uns dann direkt ins nächstbeste Restaurant setzten.:)
//...and then we went to the nightmeetingpoint no. 1 in Rome: the Trevifountain. I think, illuminated it looks even more impressive than at daytime. After posing for some photos (which is really difficult with all the people running around), we had to do a little shopping for souvenirs. And that made us so hungry, that we chose the very first restaurant.

Der Dezember ist mein liebster Monat im Herbst bzw. Winter. Denn die Vorfreude auf Weihnachten, Weihnachten selber und natürlich Silvester hellen meine Laune in der dunklen Jahreshälfte erheblich auf. Man nennt es ja auch Partysaison und dazu braucht man natürlich einige Festtagsklamotten.Ich weiß nicht woran es liegt, aber für mich passt nix besser in diese Zeit als blaue Pailletten.:)

Because looking forward to christmas, christmas itself and New Year's Eve lift my mood during this dark season.It is also called partyseason and you need a lot of festive clothes. I don't know why, but clothes with blue sequins always remind me of christmas.
