Paris - 3 Hours on Tour Eiffel

Probably on every tourist's bucketlist und always worth a visit - The Eiffeltower. This was just my second time and I always enjoy cityviews away from the noise and stress of the crowded streets. And since were nightowls ( as you probably already know;), we're always happy finding a sight, which is open until late at night. So still with that cakebox in hand (previous post), we went upstairs in the late afternoon and we were able to see Paris at day and night. And when we are at a location we really like, you won't get rid of us so easily. Until we saw there was a party on the shore of the Seine...

Ein Eiffelturmbesuch steht bestimmt auf jeder Touriliste und obwohl es so klischeehaft klingt, es ist doch trotzdem einen Besuch wert. Da wir unsere Tagesziele natürlich unserem Tagesrythmus anpassen müssen und da wir absolute Nachteulen sind, suchen wir immer nach einer Sehenswürdigkeit die noch länger, am liebsten bis mitten in die Nacht geöffnet hat. Also sind wir spät Nachmittags hoch und konnten die Aussicht auf Paris bei Tag  und Nacht genießen. Und so schnell kriegt man uns dann nicht runter, bis wir am Ufer der Seine eine Party entdeckten...

Paris - Musée Nissim de Camondo

Since I have a strong love for the 18th century, the Musée Nissim de Camondo seemed very appealing to me immediately after reading about it on Tripadvisor. It is the banker Comte Moïse de Camondo's mansion built in 1911 fully equipped with his collection of 18th century furniture and art. 

Most of the pieces are from the Royal Furniture Repository with some of the finest furniture and objects from the reigns of Louis XV and Louis XVI, suchlike pieces owned by Ludwigs XVI sister, Madame Élisabeth and Marie Antoinette. His expressed intention was “to recreate an eighteenth-century artistic residence".

Da ich ja ein Faible für das 18.Jahrhundert habe, hat mich das Musee direkt sehr angesprochen, nachdem ich darüber bei Tripadvisor gelesen habe. Bei dem Museum handelt es sich um das Wohnhaus des pariser Bankiers und Kunstsammlers Graf Moïse de Camondo, das er im Stile des Petit Trianon 1914 erbauen ließ. Die Inneneinrichtung besteht hauptsächlich aus Möbel und Teppichen des 18.Jahrhunderts aus der königlichen Möbelkammer mit Objekten u.a. aus dem Besitz  Madame Élisabeth's , Schwester Ludwigs XVI, Marie Antoinette's und Teppichen, die 1678 für die Grande Galerie des Louvre hergestellt worden waren.
