Palermo - Palazzo Conte Federico

Due to all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, I didn't want to miss out on visiting the Palazzo Conte Federico in the heart of the historical center and near the Norman Palace, which I also wanted to visit that same day. You pay 10 Euros, which seem much at first, but in exchange you get a guided tour by one of the inhabitants, the counts Federico, descendants of Frederick II. The oldest part of the building is a tower from the 12th century, that was part of the old city walls and which was integrated into the structure in the 17th century, when an older hospice of a monastery was transformed into this palace, that we see today.
The interesting part is not only the nice palace and interior with lots of antique furniture and paintings, but it is amazing to get access to a noble palace, where "real" people still live in with their cat sleeping in a corner.
