Review - Essence "Love & Sound" Limited Edition

Hey! Today I have a makeup review here on my blog! I was lucky to receive a package with products from Cosnova. First of all, thanks! I got some products from the limited edition "love and sound" by Essence to try out. And I have to admit, I use them quiet often now, because with their soft colours you can create a perfect springlike look. When I saw the preview, I was looking forward buying the burgundy coloured eyeshadow, but everywhere I look, it is sold out. But I am really happy with most of the products, so keep on reading to see my opinion about each item.

Hey! Heute habe ich eine Make up-Review hier auf meinem Blog. Ich habe wieder ein Paket von Cosnova zugeschickt bekommen. Danke zuallererst dafür. In dem Paket waren einige Produkte der zur Zeit noch erhältlichen "Love & Sound" limited edition von Essence enthalten. Und ich habe alle Produkte auch schon öfters benutzt, weil man mit ihnen einen schönen, pastelligen Frühlingslook gestalten kann.

Also kommen wir dann mal zu meiner Bewertung der einzelnen Artikel.

So let's start with the beautiful, peachy blush. As you can see in the pictures, it has a light colour gradient and very small glitterparticles. But when I swatch it on my skin, I see just a hint of colour. Maybe it is just for very pale people. 

Also starte ich mal mit dem peachfarbenen Blush. Wie man auf dem Foto schön sehen kann, hat er einen leichten Farbverlauf, von hellem Mauve (wie der Lippenstift) bis Pfirsischfarben. Ausserdem enthält er einen leichten Schimmer, bzw. winzig kleine Glitzerpartikel. Leider ist er so leicht pigmentiert, dass man ihn kaum auf meiner Haut sieht. Vielleicht is dies bei hellerer Haut anders.

I received the two eyeshadows  02 make life a festival und 03 feel the vibe. Normally I don't use light eyeshadows and I was a bit disappointed, that I didn't get the dark red one. But as I told before, I now used the colours many times. The light green in the inner corner of my eye as a hightlight and the peach shade all over my lid. But I more often used the orange eyeshadow as a blush/hightlight, over the "normal" blush from that collection. It gives you a beautiful, summery glow.

Als ich das Paket bekam, war ich enttäuscht, dass nicht der rötliche Lidschatten enthalten war, da er für mich das Must-have dieser limited edition war. Und pastellige Töne habe ich vorher auch nicht allzu oft benutzt, da ich meine Augen eher dunkler schminke. Aber diese beiden Lidschatten, 02 make life a festival und 03 feel the vibe, habe ich jetzt schon öfters in Kombination mit Braun genutzt. Vorallem weil sie sehr gut pigmentiert sind und überhaupt nicht krümeln. Den Grünton benutzte ich als Highlighter im inneren Augenwinkel und den Orangeton auf dem kompletten Augenlid. Ausserdem habe ich ihn jetzt auch immer als Rouge/Highlighter umfunktioniert und noch über dem "normalen" Rouge aus der Kollektion, aufgetragen.

The Eyeliner is the flop product from that limited edition. I wasn't able to either draw a straight line, or to draw some clean dots. And it even gets more difficult, when you use the pen on the eyelid. 

Der einzige richtige Flop unter den Produkten ist für mich der Eyelinerstift. Wie man auf dem Swatch-foto (unten) sieht, habe ich es nicht auf die Reihe bekommen, saubere Punkte, geschweige denn, eine richtige Linie zu ziehen. Am Augen ist's dann noch komplizierter und man bekommt höchstens einen fetten Balken hin. Mit viel Glück.:)

The lipstick  02 glastonberry has the good quality every Essence lipstick has. It is creamy and has a good colour coverage. I would describe the colour as a mauvy nude, but unfortunatelly it doesn't look good on me. 

Der Lippenstift in der Farbe 02 glastonberry ist in üblicher Essencequalität. Sehr cremig und farbintensiv.

Er fühlt sich sehr gut auf den Lippen an. Fast wie eine Lippenpflege. Den Farbton würde ich als mauviges Nude beschreiben. Mir persönlich steht dieser Farbton leider nicht.

I got the two nailpolishes 01 make life a festival und
03 glastonberry. I haven't used them on my own nails yet, but I also don't like the finish. It's undefinable. Almost like a sand-finish and not matt, but not shiny.

Ich habe die beiden Nuancen 01 make life a festival und
03 glastonberry zugeschickt bekommen. Bisher habe ich sie nur auf dem Nagelrad geswatched. Die Farben gefallen mir sehr gut, aber das Finish leider nicht. Irgendwie ist es so ein leichtes Sandfinish und semi-matt. Man kann es irgendwie garnicht einordnen. Hätten die Nagellacke ein glänzendes Finish, würde ich sie wahrscheinlich oft tragen.

Conclusion: Except for the eyeliner pen, I can recommend each and every product. My favorites are the eyeshadows,because they are quiet opaque and very shimmering. I also love the peach-coloured shadow even more, because you can use it as a blush/ highlighter too. The blush and the lipstick are also very good products, but they just don't suit my skin tone. The nailpolishes are very covering, but you have to like the finish. All in all, thumps up!:)

Fazit: Bis auf den Eyelinerstift finde ich alle Produkte ziemlich gut. Die Lidschatten sind meine Favoriten, da sie sehr farbintensiv und stark schimmernd sind. Und da man den peachfarbenen Lidschatten noch als Blush zweckentfremden kann, ist er umso besser. Blush und Lippenstift passen leider nicht zu meinem Hautton, sind aber dennoch qualitativ gute Produkte. Und bei den Nagellacken muss man einfach das spezielle Finish mögen.
