Nightlife Capital

Our holidays in Gallipoli literally take place between the beach and the nightlife. Some years ago, when the city was still an insider's tip, we always went in the main saison, and there were plenty of parties to choose from every single day. But since the city became famous and thousands of young tourists flooded the streets, the prices exploded. So now, as an ordinary mortal, you can just efford to go there in the midth of August or even later. And hence we got older, we can't party every night anyways, so a stroll with some crepes can also be an nice evening entertainment.

Let's go to Puglia

Too difficult to guess, what my favorite country is, isn't it? So from the beautiful Tuscany we are virtually travelling to the equally gorgeous Puglia. Who follows my blog for a while now, may has noticed, that I visit this region of Italy almost every year. It is not only my father's native region and country, but therefore also mine and every time I go there, it feels like coming home. So our first highlight, which we're waiting for all year long, was visiting a fish restaurant and eating "frittura mista" (mixed fried fish). But before, a little outfit shoot, while we waited for my sis.:)

2 Hours in Pisa

You may ask, "why just 2 hours?"So let me explain our travel schedule. For this whole travel adventure we again used Blindbooking by Eurowings, since it was again super-last-minute. They sent us to Rome, but because we have been to Rome a couple of times before, we decided to take the train to Florence and stay there for some days. We originally had to travel back to Rome for our return flight, but we fortunatelly found a cheap one from Pisa, which is also just an hour away from Florence. Our flight home was in the afternoon, so we decided to do a super short city tour. We basically just ran to the leaning tower and then back, which in the end almost became a marathon, because we spent too much time taking photos and then were really afraid to miss our flight.

Florence Day 2 - The Nightwalkers

I think Florence is the perfect city for an extended weekend stay. Even though you will probably not see everything, as the city is jam-packed with culture und history, but you will find your way around easily and you hardly ever get lost, cause the city isn't that big. Often you don't even need a city map, unless you are looking for something specific.
I think our preferred time of the day for strolling around are the evenings, because then all the sights are closed and we don't have the pressure of time, we normally have during the day. Often we want to find a good restaurant, but since we are super indecisive, we just keep on walking and then eat some fast food on the go. So our last evening we also spent walking from Piazza della Signoria, the most famous square of the city, along the river, across Ponte Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti and then back. When we were super hungry, almost hangry, we ended up buying some fries and a beer and chilled out at a small piazza near our hotel and enjoyed the mild summer night outside.

Last Evening in Florence - Outfits

It is always the same, when I just travel with handluggage, I don't have enough clothes. Or at least it seems to me that way. Even though I brought two outfits for one day, I want to wear something different. Like when you're at home and you have nothing to wear, but your wardrobe is jam-packed. Maybe it is colder or warmer at your travel destination or you want to wear something more or less posh. You are never satisfied. Unless you have bought something during your holidays. Then you want to wear these new pieces.
I think we didn't go shopping in Florence, but previously in Rome, I found that blouse I am wearing in these pics. Thats also why it's a bit creased.:) And the best location for a short outfit shooting is of course the "showcase" square Piazza della Signoria.
