Autumn Wishlist

I was so in love with last months fashion, because it was right up my alley. The extreme femininity and romanticity with ruffles, embroidery and lace as well as the playful details like knots, statementsleeves and off-the-shoulder. Of course I hoped that this whole theme would be continued, because it rarely happens, that fashion changes completely with the next saison.Normally just some new trends will be added and then it changes over time. So I hoped for beautiful new pieces and checked out the new collections at the stores. And I was shocked and of course really disappointed. It seemed as if I traveled one year back in time or as if they put all the clothes they didn't sell last year into a warehouse and now put them into the stores again. Almost a 180 degree turn from happy and playful clothes back again to 90s fashion with sportswear and grunge a la Curt Cobain in dark and earthy colours. In some stores I almost felt like walking into his closet. But after browsing through the online shops for some time, I actually found some pieces I like. 

Warsaw -The Royal Lane

Ciao! Because once again we had to use our travel emergency solution, we didn't have much time to prepare for that trip. Of course I browsed through tripadvisor a bit and chose some places I wanted to see, but didn't know anything about the routes to find these. So we started just with a rough direction in mind and the name of the stop, where we had to get off the bus. But the info-boards are different to the ones in Germany and if you are not familiar with polish, then all the words look and sound similar. But as I said in my previous post, everything worked like clockwork and a man offered his help and as if by chance he had to go in that same direction. So he asked, if we wanted to join him and as soon as we got on the bus, he started with his city tour. It turned out,that he was a retired german professor and it seemed as if he knew eveerryythingg about Warsaw. We then even walked around together for hours and he told us about the city's history and many stories about the buildings, anectotes, etc. A hail of information went down on us and I really struggled to take good pics, because the weather and light changes alone were challenging.

But it was sooo interesting! Today here is my first part of our walk, down the royal lane.

Weil wir wieder auf unsere Reisenotlösung "Blindbooking" zurückgreifen mussten, hatten wir nicht viel Zeit, um uns auf die Reise vorzubereiten. Natürlich habe ich mich ein wenig vorher bei Tripadvisor umgeschaut, aber wusste nichts über die Routen, um zu meinen ausgewählten Zielen zu kommen. Eines davon war natürlich der Königsweg und das Schloss am Ende von diesem. Also sind wir einfach losgegangen mit einer groben Richtung im Kopf und einer Zielbushaltestelle. Wer des Polnischen nicht mächtig ist, für den klingen die meisten Wörter gleich und an der Bushaltestelle waren wir dann schon am verzweifeln. Aber wie ich ja bereits in meinem vorherigen Post berichtet habe, hatten wir so etwas wie eine Glückssträhne in Warschau. Denn an der Bushaltestelle bot uns ein älterer Herr dann seine Hilfe an und das in akzentfreiem Deutsch. Dieser musste auch in die gleiche Richtung und so fragte er uns, ob wir ihn begleiten wollten. Und so fing unsere Stadtführung an. Es stellte sich heraus, dass der besagte Herr ehemaliger Deutschprofessor war und jedes Detail über seine Heimatstadt wusste. Also führte er uns ganz spontan 3 Stunden durch die Altstadt. Ich musste mich wirklich konzentrieren, um gleichzeitig noch Fotos zu machen, denn allein die konstanten Wetter-und Lichtwechsel stellten mich schon vor eine Aufgabe. Heute gibt es also den ersten Teil und zwar den Königsweg.

Warsaw - Introduction

It's like a miracle. Today I start with my blogposts about a destination, which isn't located in Italy. After we did a trip on my boyfriend's birtday last year, like I do on my birthdays since my 18th bday, we again decided to travel and use Eurowing's Blindbooking. Actually it's just an emergency solution, because we are both slow at making decisions and we wait until it's too late and expensive.

This time Blindbooking brought us to Warsaw and our first time in Poland. Afterwards it felt like destiny, because everything on that trip went like clockwork. Even the bad weather didn't disturb our good mood.

Or flight was quiet late in the evening and after checking into our super nice and modern apartment (Chopin Apartments), which was just at the outskirts of the city center, we even found a small supermarket around the corner. Shopping at foreign supermarkets is one of our favorite things to do, while travelling, because it is always so interesting to try out new stuff. And all the products were so delicious, even the microwaveable dumplings filled with sauerkraut and bacon. :)

The next day we just went out without a  concrete plan and precisely for that reason, we met our own city guide on a busstop. But more details in my next blogpost - "Royal Route".

Adventures in Puglia Pt.6 - That Summer Life

After all the parties, we were also in this special region to see some family members, so that part of our holidays was mainly about the beach life and food. And because I didn't take the camera to the beach, there are even more food pics. So bon appétit!

Nach den Parties gab es dann Familytime und die bestand hauptsächlich aus Strand und Restaurantbesuchen. Am Strand hatte ich natürlich die Kamera nicht mit, also gibt es umso mehr Essensfotos. Dann wünsch ich schonmal : Guten Appetit!

Summer Sales Haul Pt. 2 -Primark & Tk Maxx

Today I continue with clothes I shopped at Primark and Tk Maxx, as the title suggests.

In these stores I didn't find as much as I normally do. But maybe it's also because of my intention not to buy random stuff and be fouled by the red stickers. Because I already have enough stuff, I want to shop more consciously and just buy items that I don't own. Like the camel coloured trousers. I normally just wear jeans and just have a few (black) cloth pants. Or the ripped boyfriend jeans. I was looking for such a pair for a while now and now I finally found one.

Und weiter gehts heute mit Primark und Tk Maxx, wie die Überschrift schon erahnen lässt. ;)

In den beiden Läden habe ich dieses Mal weniger gefunden, als es üblicherweise der Fall ist. Ich habe mir auch vorgenommen nicht mehr fast wahllos bei Primarkschnäppchen zuzugreifen. Egal wie verlockend der rote Aufkleber ist. Aber da mein Kleiderschrank sowieso am überquellen ist, möchte ich viel überlegter einkaufen und nur Klamotten mitnehmen, die bei mir noch nicht vorhanden sind. Wie z.B. die camelfarbene Hose, denn ich trage ja normalerweise nur Jeans. Ebenso die Boyfriendjeans von Tk Maxx. Ich bin schon ewig auf der Suche nach so einer Hose, die dann vor allem auch noch sitzt und dieses Mal bin ich fündig geworden.

Adventures in Puglia Pt. 5 _ Another night ...

Holidays in Puglia for me are mainly about city festivals, parties, the beautiful sea and of course eating. So we went to another city fest. When we read that an 80s music coverband would play there, we were thrilled to bits. The band was called Vega 80 and we loved them. After that we went to a beach party and danced until they closed.😁

Bei Urlaub in Apulien geht es für mich hauptsächlich um Stadtfeste, Parties, das wundervolle Meer und natürlich Essen. 

Also sind wir am nächsten Abend wieder auf ein Stadtfest und als wir hörten, dass dort eine 80s-Coverband spielen würde, waren wir natürlich aus dem Häuschen. Die Band hieß Vega 80 und sie waren wirlich top. Weil uns das natürlich nicht reichte, da wir uns gerade erst "eingetanzt" hatten, sind wir dann noch auf eine Beachparty.

Summer Sales Haul Pt. 1 - Bershka & H&M

Like I said before, the fashion at the moment is right up my alley and I already knew, that I would shop a lot at this years summer sales. In comparison to last years minimalistic 90s fashion, this year it has totally changed and in my opinion for the better. I just love these super feminine trends like ruffles, off-the-shoulder, lace and flower prints and also the playful details like trumpet sleeves, knots and cords. And it was also the first time, that I almost only shopped online, because in the normal shops the sale had a slow start and online some pieces were even cheaper. So today I have the first part of my sales haul series with pieces from Bershka and H&M, before I put them into the wash and pack them for my next trip to Italy, which will already be in a few days.

Die Mode im Moment ist so nach meinem Geschmack, dass ich schon wußte, dass ich im Sale zuschlagen werden würde. Im Vergleich zu letztem Jahr, als noch der minimale 90s Style in war, den ich nicht wirklich mochte, hat sich die Mode komplett ins Gegenteil und damit für meinen Geschmack zum Besseren verändert. Ich liebe die femininen Trends, wie Rüschen, Off-the-shoulder und Spitze ebenso wie die verspielten Details wie Ballonärmel, Knoten und Schnürungen.
Es war auch das erste Mal, dass ich hauptsächlich online geshoppt habe, denn in den Geschäften lief mir der Sale viel zu schleppend an und in den Onlineshops waren die Klamotten außerdem günstiger bzw. überhaupt vorhanden. Heute gibt es also Teil 1 mit Sachen von Bershka und H&M, bevor ich sie für meinen kommenden Trip nach Italien ( wohin auch sonst?!) einpacke. Denn der steht schon in ein paar Tagen an.
